Eating right and exercising is a balancing act in our busy day to day lives. Replacing a latte with a glass of juice can be one of the best things you ever do for your body. Fruits and vegetables are powerhouses of vitamins and minerals that are necessary for clear thinking, stable moods and better health. Proper nutrition can do everything from improving your mood to helping you lose weight.

When you’re making your juices, you can use a blender, food processor or a juicer. Drinking three glasses a day of healthy juices first thing in the morning will jumpstart your metabolism and have you instantly feeling healthier, more refreshed and ready to start your day. There are thousands of recipes for juices out there. Mixing fruits and vegetables helps to balance the sweet flavors and gives you more potassium and electrolytes.

Try juicing carrots and adding oranges and chia seeds for a protein-rich orange juice that is delicious and refreshing. When you’re making it in a blender, you can add water or coconut water for a medium to mix it. Green juices are also extremely healthy, and they give your skin a beautiful glow. Use cucumber, spinach, apples and mixed greens. Adding berries can also improve the flavor and give your body additional antioxidants to maintain weight and be healthy.
